Don’t be afraid to piece together your dream wedding from ideas you find here, there, and everywhere. After all, imitation is the highest form of flattery. Here are six great places you can find wedding inspiration.

Pinterest : If you haven’t already joined this virtual pinboard, request an invite. Once you’re in, you can create a wedding “board” and pin to it images from your computer, around the web, or other Pinterest users.

Magazines: Clip out images from your favorite bridal magazines and catalogues, and keep them in a special folder or notebook. This is a great way to keep track of dresses you love, cake designs you’re considering, and hairdos you want to try.

Books and Movies: Take bits and pieces of your favorite wedding scenes to use as inspiration. And if there are no “I dos” in your favorite reads or flicks, create a wedding that revolves around the story and setting, like this Hunger Games-themed wedding, and this Harry Potter-themed wedding.

Blogs: Most blogs have new content uploaded almost daily. Just think: That’s 365 days of new inspiration and eye candy. Here are a handful of blogs to bookmark:

Other Weddings: Whether you’re a guest at a wedding or clicking through photos of a wedding on Facebook, go straight to the source for wedding ideas. In fact, feel free to visit my portfolio page to view some of the beautiful weddings I’ve photographed.
